Two’s Classes

The love of learning begins in our Two’s Classes. We learn much through play, planned activities and developing pride in a job well done. Developing listening skills along with social interaction on many levels with peers and adults are important daily lessons.

We have many adventures, fun, games, laughter and smiles along with learning our colors, shapes, numbers, name recognition and so much more. Each day we enjoy music and recreation time. Weekly we explore a new science experiment. Many master potty training while being a two year old. We love watching your child grow in his/her abilities. Nothing is sweeter than the unconditional love of our toddlers.

In the Three’s Classes, children continue their learning with an emphasis on pre-language, pre-literacy, and pre-math skills. Line leader assignments are given to continue building self esteem and confidence.

More in-depth learning continues in the Three’s Classes. The children are taught tracing the alphabet, letter recognition, learning letters and their sounds, counting to 15 and recognizing the numbers 1-15. Children have art every day. They also do a Bible story twice a week.

The three year olds also work on cutting skills. They focus on meeting physical milestones such as going down stairs one foot at a time.

Potty training is a must in our older Three’s Class.

Four’s Classes

The Four’s Classes work toward the goal of meeting milestones necessary for entry into Kindergarten. Children are encouraged to interact, learn, play, create and experiment while exploring God’s creation. The Abeka Christian based curriculum helps develop children physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually.

The Four’s Classes focus on penmanship, learning to write the alphabet and the sounds of each letter, distinguishing between vowels and consonants, forming one and two vowel words using blends and by adding ending sounds. Children learn to count to 100 and recognize the numbers 1-20. They also learn the concepts of before and after as well as patterns and sequences. At this stage of development, our Four’s Classes are reading books containing one and two vowel words.

Our Five’s Classes teach advanced pre-reading skills while learning two consonant sounds. Children are performing more in-depth reading with understanding and using all language rules. Students recognize and count the numbers 1-100 and learn addition and subtraction. Before and after concepts, patterns and sequences, time, money, missing numbers, science, language arts, geography and social studies are all part of the curriculum for the Five’s Classes.

The Five’s Classes also focus on advanced penmanship, learning to write the alphabet and the articulation of each letter. Children also learn to distinguish multiple vowels and consonants.
